Yesterday I made a Tiktok clip talking about the forthcoming event in Sweden that I am a part of, and inviting the viewer to join us there. I will be on stage as an MC. Just the fact that I will be on stage in front of an audience is a big plus to a speaker. An MC spot is not a keynote opportunity but well used, it can lead to other big things in the future.
After I posted the video, I then reshared it on other platforms including YouTube and Facebook.
It caught the eye of Dan. He is an events organizer and is based in Sweden. This prompted him to reach out to me on Messenger telling me of how he was attracted to the energy I had on the video. We had a talk that could lead to something. He said he will try coming to Stockholm for Saturday’s event for the purpose of meeting with me.
John also saw the video and reached out to me. He is in Kenya, is a speaker and has dreams of expanding his reach to Europe and US. Since he has been closely following my online activities, especially my podcast, he thinks, and expressed the idea that I have the whole world in my palm. “Only God has that.” I responded.
To fulfill his dream, he needs people that can make this a reality. Invite him for an event in Europe or the US. I also express the desire to be connected to people who would give me stages in Kenya for my visit sometime in the near future. In closing, he suggests that I should connect with Bilha in the Netherlands with whom we could have something in common. He later tagged us together on a Facebook post.
Today I reached out to Bilha. Through messaging we agree to talk after work.
After work we called each other and had a lengthy talk. It’s likely we will hold a joint event in Kenya later in the year or early next year. Meanwhile, she has invited me to her event tied to International Women’s day. The event is planned for Saturday 8th March. In this event, she can give me the opportunity to speak to the guests and promote my works. Further details of this will be discussed in the days to come. On inviting her to next weekend’s event as it’s a good opportunity to meet and deliberate more on these matters in person, she said there is a possibility of coming. There’s more to talk about.
